Rag & Bone Fall 2011 Collection

Clothes for chasing foxes.

David Neville and Marcus Wainwright of Rag & Bone turned to Edward, Duke of Windsor to inspire their menswear collection and the result is a tweedy, plaidy, array of old school gentlemen's clothing. And in the best gentleman's tradition, the clothes are rich and woven with tradition, giving the appearance that one is ready to shoot birds, ride horses, and fish at a moment's notice, to be worn by men who have no intention of doing those things. Not that it's a totally horsey set collection; what it is, is a very British one. It's not just foxhunts; it's Alex and his droogs; it's Carnaby Street in the '60s; it's Scottish highlands and London dandies. It's mod and tradition. We, unsurprisingly, kind of love it all. We like layering as much as the next two queens, and Rag & Bone definitely has a thing for it, but even we would need to edit some of these looks for ourselves. Lorenzo wants all the plaid. He wants to throw it all down on the bed and roll around in plaid like it was piles of money.
